Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera Review

We purchased this and separate lenses 18-105mm and the 55 – 300mm. This allows us a three unit system. As professional photographers (Medium format digital with Sinar and Hasselblad) were were impressed with the quality of the image and in the way that this camera allows genuine manual use. The screen is large enough to allow accurate manual focus and there is nothing that this camera can not do that a so called professional camera does. Taken that it is not intended to get it knocked about this is and excellent 16MP camera.

This is a fantastic camera. It’s easy to use, image quality is amazing, and low-light performance is astounding, with barely any perceptible noise up to ISO 6400. There are a lot of very gimmicky functions and special effects that will probably never be used by most people (or used once or twice for the novelty and forgotten about), but gimmicks are only really a problem if they’re used to hide problems with a product’s fundamental purpose and this is certainly not the case here.

The one and only potentially big issue I’ve found is the battery life, which seems to be atrocious. I charged up the battery, played with the camera for only two or three hours and the battery died. Same thing again today. I’ll probably need to invest in a spare battery (maybe even two) before I inevitably take the camera out on day trips.

The built-in flash is exactly what I expected, useful for fill-in in bright sunshine, but not really powerful enough for much else, fortunately you do have the hotshoe for connection of a larger strobe if you want to use on for more creative purposes.

The high definition video recording is very useful for quick videos if you don’t want to carry a video camcorder as well, live-view enabling you to see the recording on the rear LCD. The LCD on it’s swivelling mount is also useful for taking photos over the head of a crowd or from a very low vantage point rather than just guessing what you might see through the viewfinder. Personally I also like the fact that I can hide the LCD away most of the time, just using the viewfinder and not getting the LCD dirty.

Overall a very nice camera if you want all the features that you get on a modern compact, but want to be able to use semi-professional lenses. You don’t get access to the whole range of Nikon lenses though, as the body doesn’t have a focusing motor built in, but you can use any lens which has a built-in focussing motor.

Others have made many good and positive points here already, so rather than repeat many of them again, they are all true!, the tablet is really well built and stylish for the money, it copes with all the games and apps I’ve thrown at it etc. etc.

Some of the positives;
- Amazing value for money
- No problems with wi-fi connectivity
- Exactly the same opperating system as the samsung galaxy S which i own so navigating around the tablet was a breeze.
- Much quicker than i expected, but it does have a slightly quicker processor and android gingerbread.
- The touch screen is responsive and without as much ‘lag’ as i expected.
- Android market which has so many free apps and every app you could ever find on your ipad. I have to say i dont quite understand why ipad/phone owners bang on about there apps all the time when Android has just as many, if not more, and they also seem to be better and cheaper. Personally i think ilad/phone owners are sometimes just blinded the look and brilliance of the design of the apple products.
- video conferencing and video skype converations via the front facing cam.
- its light and compact and comfortable to carry around.

Negatives;
- battery life is about 3 to 4 hrs but this was expected.
- the file manager system by android is a nightmare to navigate. Its very hard to find your pics, mp3s etc but again if you have a samsung this is to be expected as you would have experienced this before.
- i have yet to find out how to copy or move a pic from one part of the directory to another. It has the options to do so but doesnt seem to carry out the function. This could just be me though.
- The mega pixcels on the camera arent massive but i didnt buy this to take pics or video with, i own a digital camera with 12 mega pixcels and a phone with 6 mega pixcels so i dont need it for those reasons anyway.
- 1 usb port, but then again for the money i think i can handle unplugging one external device in favour of another.

Summary i dont think you can find a better tablet, with a memory card and case with usb keyboard (a must and very useful) for less than £120. I do like my gadgets and i am a bit of a geek but not so much that i dont care how much i spend to get the latest and best gadget so i can show off. I care about getting the best with the money that i have and i can certainly say that i have done that here.  << Check Out More Tablet

The first phase of use in our household was with daddy pushing baby around. It is a great experience for both. A bit of caution is needed when taking corners at high speed but it is a great way to explore together and to have a good time. Unfortunately our baby had such a good time that she was

asking to be pushed around every day. The Wheelybug Ladybird Ride-on is a stable and sturdy rideable that has been a source of entertainment over a couple of different growing phases. It is an attractive red colour and the manufacturing seems solid enough for a baby to use without too much worry. The steering (wheel direction) is a little wobbly at times when at high speed but it goes in the right direction and the wheels align well. The added prongs at the front haven’t had too much playtime for us but this has been an excellent product.

It’s fantastic quality and one of the best toys I have bought. I’d recommend it to any parents who are looking for an in house ride on for their toddlers.

Overall you can see more detail before make purchase. One thing more notebook you can select or buy them but if it’s more function but never use why pay more for it! I recently bought the Lenovo G570 laptop as a general purpose machine for my son to use for entertainment and schoolwork. It looks quite good, although I would have preferred something other than a glossy black cover which does attract fingerprints. It feels solid and well put together and everything has worked well so far. It is definitely faster than my ACER 5742 Core i5-460M laptop and the screen feels less flexible. The keyboard has a good feel, again preferable to the ACER. The screen is fairly good without being spectacular and the battery life is usually about 3-4 hours. It is generally quiet in use, although I have not used it for gaming. The start up time is currently around 30-40 seconds and it does have a utility to keep this optimised which I think is a useful feature. Overall, I think it is good value for around £500. Dont be afraid just buy it. You will not be disappointed for browsing and office work.

M009S is a wonderful example of how to achieve subtle power and appeal to the price conscious buyer. With flash player 10.1 yet still remain the most competitively priced Android 2.2 tablet in the market. NATPC M009S as Xmas Present for my 6 year old son who was always playing on my android phone.I have been playing on it for days and should probably wrap it up.  The apps on the market are good and I have downloaded lots of educational apps(mathes, ebooks, facts) and also some very good games. There are apps which have lots of links for childrens videos,drawing ect. The screen is actually quite responsive but I would reccommend also buying the USB keyboard which is much faster and easier. I have downloaded music and pictures onto a memory card and they work fine. The battery lasts longer than what I thought. I got three hours with wifi on which is basically the same as my laptop. Website searches are fine but some things you cannot play just depends what it can handle. Good value for money. Another way, I really wanted this tablet for its kindle application.

If you’re just wanted to try a tablet that would allow web and e mail access via wi fi on the move. This one seems well up to the job of basic browsing, it can also view and amend word and excel and view pdf, all with limited functionality but still enough to read what you need on the move, there is an Ap store which I hevent tried yet plus camera and the usual add ons when compare Kindle, Galaxy Tab and more Tablet PC.
